As the lead copywriter at Kia, my strategic approach to crafting email content was pivotal in transforming the brand's digital engagement. By leveraging powerful copy and targeted campaigns, I played a central role in enhancing Kia's customer communication, leading to remarkable improvements in engagement, lead generation, and customer loyalty.

Campaign Highlights and My Contribution

  1. Go Hybrid Campaign: A testament to my skill in creating resonant content, the Go Hybrid campaign showcased no unsubscribes, indicating exceptionally high audience retention. This campaign achieved an impressive 2,057 email opens and 832 clicks, reflecting the compelling nature of the copy and its alignment with customer interests.
  2. Segment-Specific Success: My dedication to understanding and targeting specific customer segments was evident in campaigns like the one targeted at electric/hybrid vehicle owners. The nearly 60% open rate and 20% click-through rate signified the effectiveness of my meticulously tailored messaging.
  3. Lead Generation through Persuasive Writing: In March 2021, the EV6 launch campaign, under my direction, generated over 2,000 leads, including 1,258 sign-ups to the EV6 page. This success highlighted my ability to create persuasive and action-driving content.
  4. Consistency Across Campaigns: Maintaining a consistent tone and messaging across diverse campaigns like EV6 Roadshow and Go Hybrid was key. My role in ensuring this consistency resulted in high levels of customer interaction and reinforced Kia's brand image.
  5. Service Campaign Performance: Service campaigns under my guidance also achieved significant results. For example, a service campaign aiming to realign bookings post-lockdown led to 314 service requests and 20 direct bookings. This underscored the effectiveness of my clear and engaging call-to-actions.
